Class Descriptions

Z3 Circuit is a dynamic, body-blasting, team training led by a Zone 3 Fitness trainer. This circuit program combines cardio and strength training intervals using a variety of weights and training tools to decrease body fat, burn calories, and increase strength and endurance. Each exercise can be modified to fit your specific fitness level, but the group energy will give you the best workout possible. In less than an hour you will get a warm up, a tremendous workout, and a good stretch to take care of your hard working body.   Want to see Z3 Circuit in action....check out this Z3 video and our member's success stories!
 
Turbo Zone is a high intensity interval training which utilizes a variety of body weight and plyometric exercises all done in short intervals with minimal rest between each exercise. It’s a dynamic 30 minute workout that promotes weight loss, builds lean muscle, and increases cardiovascular fitness. Don’t let the shorter workout fool you….this will challenge you! As always, you can modify the intensity level of every station to fit your current fitness level.
 
Power Zone is a strength and conditioning class focused on the major muscle group movements that are key to a strong, balanced body: squat, lunge, row, plank, press. Each station focuses on good form and can be modified for all fitness levels by adding more weight or repetitions. If you are just starting out, this class will help you learn proper form and ease into the faster paced Z3 Circuits. If you are seasoned, this class will allow you to work with higher weights and build lean muscle as well as increase your range of motion. PowerZone gives you one more tool to round out your training!

Spinning combines strength and cardio training backed by science and driven by pulsing music to move you toward your fitness goals.  Whether you are an avid outdoor cyclist or a first time indoor cyclist, you will leave this class tired and wanting more!  It's a great workout that burns calories and keeps muscles in shape.
 
Yoga focuses on breathing, strengthening, stretching, and relaxing. This Anusara yoga focuses on flexibility, stretching and the principles of alignment.  Led by Allison Zuchman of AZ Yoga for you, this  class is an excellent complement to your weekly strength and cardio training, no matter what your fitness level is. If you have never done yoga, come give it a try.  The class is great for both the beginner yogi and the experienced yogi.
 
Sunday Club takes our great Z3 Circuit outside to make the most of our beautiful Maine summers!  Join us for some outside fun and fitness.  Circuit at 8:30am followed by and optional group run and/or obstacle race training.  Open to all levels....although some circuit experience is often helpful.  Bring a yoga mat or towel, water bottle and make sure you have sun block on.  We meet either up on the Eastern Promenade in Portland or at the Scarborough High School Track.  Click here for the Summer Sunday Schedule of locations.
